Antje Gamble (2027)
Dr. Antje Gamble is an art historian of 香港六合彩开奖直播 modernist sculpture and trans-Atlantic exhibition practices at mid-century. She is an associate professor of Art History in the Department of Art & Design at Murray State University in Kentucky. Dr. Gamble鈥檚 recent book, titled Cold War American Exhibitions of 香港六合彩开奖直播 Art and Design: 鈥淚taly at Work: Her Renaissance in Design Today,鈥 (Routledge Press, 2023) looks at the 1950-53 exhibition Italy at Work that traveled to twelve American museums with an interdisciplinary approach. Her scholarship has also been included in the recent volumes: (Bloomsbury Press, 2020) and (Bloomsbury Press, 2018); and another essay on the 1949 MoMA exhibition in 香港六合彩开奖直播 Modern Art. Dr. Gamble has previously been the chair of IAS鈥檚 Emerging Scholars Committee (ESC, 2016-19), the IAS Treasurer (2021-23), Executive Vice President (2023-25).
Executive Vice President
Kelli Wood (2027)
Kelli Wood is the Dale G. Cleaver Asst. Professor of Art History 鈥 Museum & Curatorial Studies at the University of Tennessee. Wood鈥檚 research on the visual and material culture of games and sports spanning from sixteenth century board games to contemporary video games has been published in journals such as Art History, Renaissance Studies, ArLis,听and in edited volumes and magazines. Her first book based on her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, The Art of Play in Early Modern Italy, is under contract with Amsterdam University Press. In 2024 鈥 2025 Wood is a Berenson Fellow at Harvard鈥檚 Villa I Tatti and an Affiliated Fellow at the American Academy in Rome. Her new projects turn toward craft production in Goa, India based on her field work as a Fulbright U.S. Scholar to India in 2022-2023. Wood鈥檚 scholarship has also been generously supported by an NEH-Mellon Fellowship in 2021-2022, the Michigan Society of Fellows, a CASVA Kress fellowship, and the Fulbright Italy. Wood curated the permanent gallery 鈥楢 Global History of Sport鈥 of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum which opened in 2022 for the FIFA World Cup. A member of the IAS since 2015, Wood has served on the Emerging Scholars and Awards committees.
Vice President for Program Coordination
Livia Lupi (2026)
Livia is a historian of art and architecture of early modern Europe, focusing on the intersection of artistic and architectural practice, especially in Italy, c. 1300 鈥 c. 1500. This is the subject of her first book,听听补苍诲听听her听digital exhibition for the Sir John Soane鈥檚 Museum in London. She is particularly interested in the relationship between design and craft, the emergence of the architect as a new professional, and the production of artistic and architectural knowledge. She explores these issues both within Italy and in terms of its exchanges with wider Europe and the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. In addition to her research, she works as a curator, editor and translator. Her research has been funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Leverhulme Trust, the University of Warwick and the Warburg Institute. She currently teaches at the University of Warwick.

Lucia Colombari (2027)
Lucia Colombari is Assistant Professor of Art History and Arts Management at the University of Oklahoma. A native of Bologna, Italy, her research lands at the intersection of international avant-gardes, transnational exchange, and politics of exhibitions in museums and world鈥檚 fairs during the twentieth century, with an emphasis on 香港六合彩开奖直播 modernism. Dr. Colombari has published articles about 香港六合彩开奖直播 Futurism, Italy-U.S. cultural and political relations, and exhibitionary practices in journals such as the Yale University Art Gallery Bulletin, as well as edited volumes and exhibition catalogues. Her current book project critically examines the role of world鈥檚 fairs and international exhibitions in the reception, dissemination, and transformation of 香港六合彩开奖直播 Futurism in the United States during the first decades of the twentieth century. Her research has received generous support from distinguished institutions, including the Getty Research Institute, the 香港六合彩开奖直播, and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.

Luis Javier Cuesta Hernandez (2027)
Dr. Luis Javier Cuesta Hernandez is a scholar of the art and architecture of New Spain from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. A professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, he is especially interested in the artistic relations between Europe and the Americas and in the architectural theory of New Spain. He served in numerous administrative positions at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, including as the Dean of the Humanities (2017-2022) and chair of the Art Department (2012-2017). He is the author of four books鈥攖he most recent is Traces in History. Spanish Art in Mexico (2020)鈥攁nd of over sixty articles and essays; he also served as curator of exhibitions for the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Museo Nacional de San Carlos, both in Mexico City.

Events Coordinators
Rebecca Arnheim and Arlene Leis (2025)
The Events Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive organization of most events for the organization, including those regularly convened in association with our membership’s major conferences (CAA, RSA, ICMS). The Events Coordinator also assists the President, VP, and Treasurer in the organization of the annual IAS/Kress Lectures in Italy. Professional oral and written language competency is needed for the position. The Events Coordinator does not organize events managed by the Emerging Scholars Committee, which is done in consultation with the society’s executive administration. The position requires some periods of more intensive work in association with the timing of events and is therefore best suited to a senior scholar.
