After joining Codex Mulder as a paralegal in the summer of 2018, Susanna was sworn in as attorney at law in February 2019. Susanna studied law and politics at University College Utrecht, the international honours college of University Utrecht. Simultaneously she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Early on during her studies Susanna developed a passion for maritime and transport law. She completed her Bachelor degrees with a thesis on the Rotterdam Rules for which she received the highest level of achievement. In her thesis for her Master’s degree in Private Law Susanna addressed the developments in choice of court clauses in Dutch maritime practice. During her studies Susanna was active in her rowing association, where she organized one of the biggest rowing events of the competition season.
After her studies in Utrecht, Susanna completed the Master Shipping Law at the University of Cape Town with honors, where her excellent study results were rewarded with the Bob Deacon Memorial Prize. Susanna has a lot of international experience and therefore speaks fluent English.
